Mid Antrim Motor Club hosted the Garron Point Hill Climb on Saturday 8th August at our usual County Antrim coastal venue. Situated at the foot of the Antrim Glens and with the Irish Sea providing the backdrop, not a more fitting setting will you find for a fantastic days motorsport.
Originally planned due to be a Round of the 2020 ANICC Millers Oils Hill Climb Championship but unfortunately due to the COVID situation the championship was cancelled earlier in the year. The event we thought wouldn’t happen was worth all the hard work that many in our club put in to make a success, it was absolutely fantastic to hear the sound of engines and tyres rip up the tarmac (literally) once again!
A massive thanks to all who helped make it happen, from the competitors, marshals, rescue, medics, timekeepers, scrutineers.
CONGRATULATIONS to Graham Thompson who remains King of the Hill with a blistering time of 36:61
2020 marked the 27th continuous year of sponsorship from Maxwell Freight, all at MAMC would like to thank them for the continued support.
Check out this fantastic footage of our 2019 event. Excellent and many thanks Andrew Kernohan.
